Tutorial Gifs

Creating A Gif Using Photoshop

In this lesson, we used Google to search up how to create a Gif Animation on Adobe Photoshop. The next step was to download the files from the website onto Photoshop and create a moving tutorial of this image, like shown above ^^
1. file - scripts
2. load files into stack
3. select all your downloaded images

Week 3 Carousel - Critically Comparing my Skills, Processes and Methods

Unit 1
U1.2.1 Critically compare a range of communication methods used to convey meaning in creative media production.
Note Critically is similar to compare but concentrate on the things that are different with two or more methods used or what sets them apart. Point out any differences which are particularly significant.

In your own words say what U1.2.1 is asking you to do.
Answer: Critically is similar to compare but concentrate on the things that are different with two or more methods used or what sets them apart. Point out any differences which are particularly significant.

2nd. Gather your information:
What have you been doing that you can evaluate
On your blog you now have two weeks detailing classes in The Carousel and professional ways to use tools, skills, processes.  If you have details of these you have done this point just add the links below.

3rd. Apply the information
How well have you done in the sessions?
Ask yourself:
  • Which skills, Processes and Methods or tools you enjoyed the most?
Answer: learning how to use the cameras, lights an computers in the studio when filming an advert that we've created. We had a range of different complex lighting, such as hard and soft light.

  • Which of the things you have been shown could you demonstrate to another person?
Answer: we could demonstrate to another person in how to use Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop in Graphic Design on the Mac's. By using these softwares, we went through the stages of weathered, grainy, smooth and reflective effects that we can then demonstrate to others of either mistakes we are making through our process making or making it better throughout our work. An example like this could be when demonstrating how things should be done to another person would be using the Maya Software with rounded, organic, defined, angular and busy shapes - practising different things out on the software to also demonstrate other people how the Software 'Maya' works and what effects you can create.

  • Which of the things you have been shown do you need more practice with?
Answer: I think I maybe need more help on using with the Adobe Softwares like: Adobe Maya. This could be by changing the texture of the shape to either make it look glossy, hard and abrasive, to make it look more appealing...

4th. Consider the implications
If you were asked by a professional to use some of the tools, skills, processes how well would you do?
Answer: Personally I think I would do quite well after a while when using them over time, I would get the hang of it quite quickly after past experiences using it for different occasions.

5. Explore other points of view
Have you considered feedback from teachers and Peers as to how well you did in the session, if so what feedback have you had?
Answer: I've had feedback given off from teachers explaining of how well I acted in the filming process.

What Feedback have you had so far that tells you you are doing okay in the session?

Answer: Working hard with others and figuring the best options for my work.

Week 3 Carousel - Critical Thinking

5 Tips To Improve Your Critical Thinking

1. Formulate Your Question
2. Gather Your Information
3. Apply Your Information
4. Consider Your Implications
5. Explore Other Points Of View

Week 3 Carousel

  1. Document what you did in the session on Tuesday and Wednesday (Pictures, Diary entries, Printouts ETC)
  2. List under the following
  • Research that you carry out in these sessions
  • Skills that you have tried.
  • Any processes
  • and methods you used.
  • Any tools that you used.
The skills that I have used is to learn how to use the equipment in the studio by using the cameras, lights and how to work in a big group with the use of teamwork - as well as by using these things as tools. By using these skills, we had to design and create an advert with 'Bic 4colours'. We all had to get separated into 4 different groups and create a production in how we was going to advertise the use of the 'Bic 4colours'.
My group decided to present it in a classroom working area, while the teacher hands one of the student a 'Bic 4colour' as the student acted out if they were struggling to write with their rubbish pen. The other students then become jealous by this... which creates tension.

The processes and methods that I have used is by working step by step to make the advert successful - i.e by starting off planning out what we thoughts and wanted to make the advert presentable and not rushing into things so it is simple , basic which also shows a wide range of thought and plan into it so it doesn't look too "cluttered".

Media Production Carousel - BIC Advert

Film & TV Brief for Carousel

Tasks to complete:
1. Brainstorm ideas
2. Create a pitch for the production
3. Pitch the production
4. Select best idea and develop further
5. Plan the production
6. Conduct rehearsal and block the production
7. Create titles and graphics
8. Conduct rehearsal of filming and editing slots
9. Film and live edit the production
10. Review the production

Group 1
- Jealously in using the pen
- Use of different lights to represent the 4colours of the pen

Group 2
- Based in the 1970's because that's when Bic released their pen with 4colours

Group 3
- Sitting at desk enjoying the pen and someone then steals the pen and that person then takes over the role of enjoying it

First Weeks Evaluation

1. Evidence of me taking part: (Pictures, Diary entries, Printouts ETC) U1.1.2

2. Write up your experience of the following...
2a Discuss any research that you carried out in these sessions: U2.1.1,

Now list Primary and Secondary sources U2.2.1

Primary: discussing in class

Secondary: learning new skills and how to use them

2b Discuss any skills that you have tried: U2.1.1

The skills I have used and tried out were to create sounds onto a video clip and how to add it onto Adobe Premiere. I also learnt how to go onto Photoshop and create two photographs into one, meaning to collaborate each image shaded into one another. Furthermore, I also went onto Adobe Illustrator and we chose an image where we zoomed in onto their eyes and made it into a cartoon effect.
As you can see attached in what we did in Adobe Illustrator below:

Lastly, we used the tool called Maya 3D Designs. What we did here was to create a shape and make it into something we liked i.e a sphere - you could either squash the shape of the sphere or increase it's length and width, by doing these things, it created a sense of teamwork if this had to take place in a job by either communicating with people in the future. These are skills of work to show of what you can design on this way of technology.

2c Discuss any processes and methods you used (Photography wet process, Screen Printing, Photoshop layering etc): U1.1.1

What is your understanding of these?:
Processes: understanding the process of Photoshop layering and how to collaborate both images into one.

Methods: by using different and special effects to gain the best advantage in Photoshop.

2d Discuss the tools that you used (Paint, Material, Software, etc): U2 3.1

Evaluate your use of them -

How effective were you with this tool? I was very effective with the software tools i.e Photoshop, Illustrator and Maya 3D Designs. I picked up very quickly of how to use the quickest routes in progression of my work.

How could you improve your use of the tool?
